Walker Chorus Groups
Fourth and Fifth Grade students may audition to be in chorus. These auditions are held at the beginning of the year.
Mrs. Pierce has two chorus groups. The Select Walker Chorus meets on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:35 - 8:00. The Friday Walker Chorus meets on Friday mornings from 7:35 - 8:00. The Friday Walker Chorus meets on Friday mornings from 7:35 - 8:00. Both groups work on developing their vocal skills as well as learning to read more difficult music in two or three part harmony.
Both chorus groups perform a Winter Program in December. The 5th grade students from the Select Walker Chorus will perform a big musical in the spring. In December, the 5th graders from both chorus groups will perform Christmas Carols at local retirement homes.
It is an honor to be selected for the Walker Chorus and students are to conduct themselves accordingly. Mrs. Pierce has set guidelines for these students. If the guidelines are not followed a student may be dismissed from Chorus.
